Once again I've been doing a terrible job blogging! But I will try my best to keep this updated!
So much has been happening in these past months.
I am still working at the vet. I now work 3 mornings. I have been taking an online class and will soon be a certified vet assistant. On top of that, I'm still working on my other classes. I'm getting excited to graduate this spring!!
In January, I started putting together a Dinner Theater for my youth group to do! I have been very busy directing, cordinating, and participating in this! The dinner theater is in one week from today. We will be performing a play of Pilgrim's Progress and will also be showcasing the talents of Oakdale youth! it is going to be a great night! All proceeds made from the Dinner Theater will go towards our youth mission trip to Haiti this summer.

As of June 28th 2012, I started dating Josh Anderson. It has almost been 8 months..and I must say these have been the best 8 months :) Josh is such an encouragement to me..and is always building me up. Our relationship isn't perfect..just like we aren't perfect people, but we learn from mistakes, build eachother up, encourage eachother, and are bringing eachother closer to God!
I have learned so much since I've been with Josh...God has really been at work in my heart..drawing me closer to Him. I strive to be a woman after Him.
I hope when people look at me, that they'll see Christ shinning through me!!
Josh and I :)

This is the backdrop for Pilgrim's Progress!

What I've been up too!

I have been terrible at blogging the past...I don't even know how long!!! Things have been pretty crazy around here.
Through the summer, I will only be working one day a week at the vet. That gives me time to get some school done and also to have some free time. Its been great..although I do miss working there more!
This past spring was crazy! Working mornings at the vet then going to work in the greenhouse till around 8 or 9. It was a great spring though..a lot of fun to watch all of our plants and flowers go out the door.
As of now, I've just been doing school, cleaning, hanging out with friends...this weekend my youth group and I will be heading down to New Orleans for Challenge, a big youth conference! I'm pretty excited about that!
If you could be in prayer for all of us going to Challenge this weeked, that would be great!!
I will try my hardest to do a better job at keeping this updated!!!!

It was a crazy morning today at work. We were full in the kennels with dogs and did a 2 hour surgery.
We didn't get done till 2:00!!
We had to draw blood on a few animals, and we ran a heart worm test.
A dog came in that had gotten into a fight with another animal so we had to get him cleaned up. MiKaela (a senior who is doing a work base at the vet) and I got to furminate a cat.
We took an Xray of a dogs leg...neutered a cat...and then we started our long surgery.
We took 19 warts of this dog and 3 fatty tumors! Poor dog got a make over...the vet way!! LOL

When I got home, I mowed the lawn then worked in the greenhouse.

Today wasn't too busy of a day. We did blood work on two dogs and a cat.
We did a cat dental and a cat neuter/declaw. We also had a dog come in that is really sick.
He started throwing up last night and has a really sore abdomen. Dr. Benson did blood work on him and found out he's either in kidney failure, or has Pancreatitis and is in Reno failure. Poor thing, he's really sick!

Last week, I only had to work one day!! Cherokee had their spring break so one of the kennel kids (Blake!) worked for me. It was nice having some time off...even though I spent the whole week working at the greenhouse.

Interesting

This has been a pretty interesting week at the vet so far. Even though it's only Tuesday, we've had some crazy things come up at work.
Yesterday we did surgery on 10lbs. dog. He had a huge tumor (The size of a baseball!) right on his neck, underneath his chin. The tumor went right over the jugular vein so we had to be extremely careful!
Thankfully it was just a fatty tumor (Which means the tumor was just made of fat..it was not cancerous or anything.) and it came off very easily! I will post some pictures once I get on the right computer...hopefully tonight or tomorrow!

Today we had a dog come in that has terrible skin. She is covered in scabs. We took a few biopsy's so hopefully we can figure out what is causing this. We shaved her and cleaned her up good for now.
We also did two cat spays today. One cat we found out is ringworm positive!!! We did not expect that at all..so I shaved her completly, after we did her surgery.

As of now, I'm sitting in a coffee shop (Crazy I know, since it is 71 degrees outside!!) drinking a wonderful White Chocolate, Caramel, Toffee Moo. A Moo is just like a steamer. And a steamer is just like a cappuchino but with milk instead of coffe. If ya'll didn't know! LOL

My week

This has been a very busy week at the vet!
Yesterday we did 2 surgeries. The first one was on  a 150 lbs bloodhound. It took 3 of us to lift him on the surgery table. It was quite a sight! LOL
We took 2 different tumors off of him. One was on his ear flap and the other tumor was actually way down in his ear cannal.
Our 2nd surgery was on a pig! We don't usually do many pig surgeries...since we are on the small animal side of the vet but this pig will be a prize winning show pig someday! I don't remember what the surgery was on him...it was a hernia, I think.

After I get home from work, I usually do some school or cleaning the house.
Last night Melissa and I went to the highschools Pops Concert! It was fun watching my friends in the choir and/or band!

Dr. Benson wasn't in the office today so Dr. Friedrichse filled in for him. We only had 1 surgery but that dog was a knuckle head! He cut me in a few different places because he kept jumping around.
We also have a dog under our care that is really constipated. We gave her enema's yesterday and today, they help for a little bit but then she gets plugged up again! It's really sad to see her suffer.

Now I'm back at home, doing more cleaning and school. Tonight we have a concert at church which I'm pretty excited for! The choir from Northwestern college will be doing an Acapella concert for us!!

Hey!!!

Hey Everyone!! So I've been doing a terrible job at blogging this past 6 months..or so!! Things have been super busy around here which is why I haven't been blogging.
But I'd like to start it up again. Hopefully blogging at least once a week. I might turn this into a "vet blog" where I'll blog about my day at work...or I guess we'll just see what I blog about!

Thats all I have to say for now! I'll try blogging soon...maybe after I get some school done today.

Crazy Summer

This has just been a crazy summer for me!! First of all I was in the summer play "Seussical". That got done at the end of June.
On July 23rd I left with my youth group on a missions trip to New York/New Jersey. It was an amazing trip...but that trip is a WHOLE nother blog! LOL
We spent a week ministering in NY and NJ.
I spent three days up at State Fair the 2nd week of August with my friend. He showed horses and chickens!!!
Then August 15, I started working as the assistant vet at Valley Vet Center. I will now be working full time as the assistant for however long they need me!! Which means I have to be to work by 7:30 :( and it just depends on the day for how long I stay there!!
I've been having so much fun and learning a lot just in the past 2 weeks of working...I am very tired but know God will give me the strength I need.
On top of working almost full time, I've started some school, this past week I've been taking care of Caly (the dog!!!), hanging out with my best friend Blake (riding horses, doing chores, hanging out!!!!!), playing piano, taking care of my own animals, and just trying to keep my sanity!!

I love everything that I've been doing but I must confess that I'm very tired. I haven't been as strong spiritually...and we just learned that my dad has Chronic  Leukemia:(
Things have been stressful, especially around my house!! But as my dad keeps reminding me, "God has a reason for all of this...we shouldn't ask Him why but for what purpose is He doing this!"
